Balloon Take Off Sites
Our hot air balloon rides start from Tavarnelle in Tuscany in the early morning due to the ideal stable air conditions found at that time. Our site is 35 kilometres south of Florence and 45 kilometres north of Siena.
From here your balloon ride may fly near any number of old Tuscan castles and renaissance villas or you may enjoy aerial views of the old towns of Poggibonsi, Senese San Gimignano, Col Val D’Elsa. On a clear day if we fly high enough you may see the Tirrenean/Mediterranean reflecting in the morning sun in the distance.
Passengers can drive to our regular balloon flights take off site in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, or can be driven to the site by taxi or with a private driver that we can organize for you at an extra cost.
We can also fly groups from Siena and other locations in the Chianti region by arrangement. Please ask when making a reservation.
